
This product is a FDA accepted TENS based facial treatment unit for the reduction of wrinkles and skin health improvement. It does this using two interfering sliding high frequency sinewave electrical signals applied to the surface of the skin. Even though using low power, the interference pattern generated allows the electrical signal to penetrate deeply through the skin into the muscles to excite them into movement.
The product consists of two battery operated, wirelessly controlled, individual treatment devices, and a portable battery or wall powered base, OLED color display, control, and charging station. Each treatment device, or paddle, has four electrical contacts of nano-silver weaved cloth. This material is used both for good electrical conduction to the skin, and for its antibacterial properties. The electrical contacts also serve as contacts for charging of each paddle's two internal Li-ion rechargeable batteries. Each paddle has two status LEDs and a vibration motor to provide the user direction from the controlling base station.
Treatment cycles are initiated and fully monitored controlled by the base station using a radio link. Treatment options are selected by the user using touch sensitive buttons on the base's inside plastic case. A bright full color organic LED screen is used to provide full motion video direction to the user for each step of the treatment procedure. Through the radio link the base can detect if the treatment is being carried out correctly by monitoring paddles current profiles.
FDA safety requirements are strictly met in the electrical design. Each treatment paddle has four contacts for two independent cycled frequencies. The power supplies for each pair electrical contacts are driven using completely isolated power supplies. No paths are available for electrical current to flow outside the intended ones. The internal power supplies in each paddle are current limited by both realtime internal computer control, and hardware current limiting within each supply.
Functional electronics, and ready firmware for all the facets of this system have been developed. The electronics is the current state of the art using an advanced in-system programmable, multiple mixed-signal System-on-Chip processors. The display is an OLED for maximum color, brightness, and clarity. The plastic and metal cases were custom designed, and have been completed by a premiere industrial design house.
